So last month when I was teaching a class at DIY studio & gifts they had placemats and trays for each student to use, instantly I thought that would be great for at home for working with the kids.
So when I came across a few trays last week and my hubby thought I was crazy and that i would never use them. I sent him this picture last night:

we use lunch trays ALL THE TIME! they were an easier to acquire and cheaper tool than wooden waldorf painting trays (we do have one of those, too - they are neat!)but plastic trays are so versatile. when i worked with one of my clients in a preschool, her teacher used them to keep each child's play-dough activities seperate and i thought that was brilliant, as well.
