So I have a dilemma, I have this amazing table runner with this pretty embroidered deer. Only problem? I dont use table runners. Is it wrong that I want to cut up a perfectly perfect table runner and create it into a pillow or something else I would use to showcase the handiwork someone worked so hard on? I am leaning towards its ok since I got this from a thrift store and someone didnt love it like they should and gave it away. Thoughts, debate? Is it ok to cut up something that isnt really in bad shape as is?

It's totally okay to use it. You can probably make something from the scraps, too.

I agree! I think it's more important that the beautiful work is featured in something that you'll actually use and love. Recycle!
Yep, if you wouldn't use it otherwise, I say cut it up and put it to use. :)
I say - GO FOR IT!!! If you love the design, but not the function it has - make it work for you :)

I sometimes face this dilemma as well, but if you will use it in another form, go for it!
i love repurposing things. it is begging to get a chance at a new life. Just do it!
I wouldn't even think about it for a second, but then again I have always been the type to hack things up on a whim. If you are sure that whatever you make will turn out pretty great then I say do it :)
